The endocrinology and Diabetology unit for children and adolescents of the hospital Oost-Limburg with campus Sint-Jan in Genk and campus Maas en Kempen in Maaseik takes care of children and adolescents with hormonal and metabolic disorders. At both campus, we see problems connected to

• -growth disorders : short stature, tall stature
• -disorders of pubertal development : early puberty, late puberty
• -congenital and other thyroid problems
• -adrenal disorders
• follow up of children and adolescents with hormonal problems after oncological treatment in collaboration with UZ Leuven
• hypothalamo-hypopituitary function
• obesity

The treatment and follow up of  children and adolescnets with diabetestype 1 and 2, at campus Maas en Kempen in Maaseik.

The diabetes team includes nurses, diabetes educators, dieticians, a psychologist, a child psychiatrist and 2 physicians
